NOVALUBE ^TM SODIUM STEARYL FUMARATE is a Hydrophilic Lubricant, suitable for API’s having poor water solubility and incompatibilities with magnesium stearate. Preferable Lubricant to manufacture ODT tablets and effervescent powder formulations.

It is used for drugs in compatible with conventional metallic stearates used for lubrications
It has a better mouth feel as compare to conventional metallic stearates which makes it suitable for Melt-in-Mouth tablets and effervescent tablets.
It has a minimal effect on the dissolution profile of the tablets and thus is very useful for the poorly soluble drug tablets
It offers lubrication in lower concentration so can be used in formation where high concentration of lubricant cannot be used.

NOVALUBE ^TM (SSF) has a superior effect on tablet hardness and the required ejection force in the tabletting process
NOVALUBE ^TM(SSF) improves the disintegration and friability characteristics of the tablets.
Due to the less hydrophobic nature it has a little impact on the dissolution profile of the drug from the tablets
NOVALUBE ^TM(SSF) ensures faster production due to lower blending times required.
Lower concentrations of lubricant are required with NOVALUBE ^TM(SSF)

Lower concentrations of NOVALUBE^TM(SSF) should be used in formulations as compare to the conventional lubricants.
Proper studied should be done before replacing the conventional lubricant.
NOVALUBE ^TM(SSF) is recommended for high value low volume tablets due to its higher cost.
